Before and after you fly, you need to drive to the airport, park and eventually drive away.

So the Casper/Natrona County International Airport has installed new ticket dispensers and a new automated exit lane among other technology, according to a news release from airport director Glenn Januska.

"Our parking equipment was pretty old and needed to be replaced for a number of reasons, including increasing difficulty getting replacement parts,” Januska said..

“While travelers probably won’t notice much about the new equipment, I think they will notice the second, automated exit lane," he said. "With more flights and larger aircraft, we have more and more vehicles trying to exit the parking lot at the same time, so the second lane is a great customer service addition.”

The airport has been reporting record numbers of passengers in recent months, which means more people parking.

Passengers needing to pay for their parking with cash must still go through the manual lane, which also allows payment with debit or credit cards.

However, passengers wanting to pay with a debit or credit card, or those within the three-hour grace period, can now go through the automated lane to pay or exit the lot.

“As more passengers pay with debit and credit cards, we will look at opportunities to add more automated exit lanes,” Januska said.
