Mayor Kenyne Humphrey has called a special meeting of Casper City Council for Monday afternoon, which will include a closed discussion regarding personnel after two weeks of turmoil within city government and the Casper Police Department.

The meeting, announced Friday afternoon in a press release, will include an executive session of council to address a personnel matter.

Tanya Johnson, public information officer in the Office of the Mayor, told K2 Radio it's fair to say the executive session will focus on a personnel issue stemming directly from recent upheaval.

Johnson could not confirm whether the personnel discussion will revolve around City Manager V.H. McDonald and Interim City Manager Liz Becher.

But Councilwoman Amanda Huckabay said the meeting will also include a discussion on improving communication between council members.

Executive session is not open to the public. However, the public portion of the meeting -- for the public bid-opening of City-owned properties -- will be broadcast on public access channel 192.
