Casper police on Friday arrested a woman after receiving a report that she was using drugs inside a home where a young boy lived.

Sara Lynn Lambrix, 35, was booked into jail on recommended charges of methamphetamine possession and child endangerment with methamphetamine. She will likely make her initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court at 2 p.m. Monday.

Charging papers say that on Wednesday afternoon, police dispatch received an anonymous call from someone who claimed marijuana and methamphetamine use may have been taking place inside a residence where an eight- or nine-year-old child lived. An officer determined Lambrix was also living at the home, but police were unable to contact her.

Police contacted Lambix's probation agent, and Lambrix was expected to report to the agent's office on Friday. That afternoon, police and the probation agent met to perform a house check after Lambrix allegedly admitted that she had been using methamphetamine.

Syringes, a spoon and two small jewelers bags were found inside the kitchen garbage can. Lambrix allegedly said she had been injecting methamphetamine daily since March, and the child had been living with her during that time.

Lambrix also told police that a man who had been living with her after he got out of jail may have been selling methamphetamine to a large number of people who would come and go from the residence.

Lambrix also said the child knew she was using methamphetamine and asked her repeatedly to stop.
