‘Entourage’ Trailer: Vinnie Chase Takes It to the Next Level, Still Parties Hard With His Boys
Ready or not, the Entourage movie is coming. The latest trailer has arrived, boasting parties, booze, yachts and lots of famous faces. It’s like a Where’s Waldo? of cameos in there, from Bob Saget to George Takei to Liam Neeson to…Bob Saget. But enough name-dropping, already. This movie also has a story to tell, and that story is about Vinnie Chase, director.
Based on the hit HBO series, the Entourage movie continues the story of Vincent Chase, his boys, and his agent, Ari Gold. As always, Ari has a line on a great role for Vinnie, but the actor has one caveat: whatever he does next, he wants to direct. And, as was par for the series, the film promises to take an absurd look at Hollywood life, but not that absurd, given how many actors have the desire to gain the ultimate control of their career trajectory by directing themselves, eventually.
Series producer Mark Wahlberg also puts in an appearance as himself, bringing along his own entourage, which is cute since the original series was loosely based on Wahlberg’s life as a young up and coming actor.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Movie star Vincent Chase (Grenier), together with his boys, Eric (Connolly), Turtle (Ferrara) and Johnny (Dillon), are back…and back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Piven). Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.
Entourage stars Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven, and also features Debi Mazar, Rex Lee, Alan Dale, Perrey Reeves, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Constance Zimmer reprising their roles from the show, along with new additions Billy Bob Thornton, Haley Joel Osment, and Emily Ratajkowski (as herself).
Entourage hits theaters on June 5. Are you ready to party? (Maybe?)
