Officials in Converse County are investigating a fire that has destroyed a bridge. Fire crews were called out around 4:30 a.m. Friday to the Coal Shadow Bridge on Coal Shadow road off the Old Glenrock Highway near the county line.
Converse County Emergency Manager Russ Dalgarn said the one-lane wooden bridge didn’t get a lot of traffic, but was used by residents of four-to-five homes in the area. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
