Heidi Klum Files for Divorce From Seal

And another Hollywood couple bites the dust. After announcing their separation in September, Heidi Klum has officially filed for divorce from Seal.

TMZ reports that Klum filed her papers in L.A. County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” in her petition. According to documents, the former couple had a post-nuptial agreement — essentially a prenup filed after marriage — so there’s no community property to be divided in court, as everything was already lined up in their paperwork.

Klum asked for joint custody of their four children, with primary physical custody for herself and visitation rights for Seal. Klum also asked that the judge reject any requests for spousal support from either party. She also requested that she and Seal each be responsible for their own lawyer’s fees.

Klum also requested to go back to her maiden name. While she’s always used Klum professionally, she adopted Seal’s last name, Samuel, personally.

While it was reported that Seal’s temper led to their split, the singer continued wearing his wedding ring after initial announcements were made, leading many to believe a reconciliation may be in the works. We wish Heidi and Seal the best during this difficult time.
