Is Ellie Goulding Answering Ed Sheeran On New Single? [VIDEOS]

It's been a few days since Ellie Goulding released her blazing new single 'On My Mind'. The uptempo Pop song is definitely a hit. The video, with scenes reminiscent of Casino and Thelma & Louise has already been viewed almost 6 million times on YouTube.

The big question now is whether or not it's a response to Ed Sheeran's summer hit 'Don't'. Ed's track was rumored to be about Ellie cheating on him, while staying in the same hotel! Of course, it was also rumored she was actually sleeping with One Direction crooner Niall Horan while she and Sheeran were together.

Beefing among artists, in all genres and airing it out on wax surely isn't a new thing (see also Taylor Swift's Bad Blood which is rumored to be about Katy Perry), but what use to be reserved mainly for Hip-Hop artists, is now a mainstay in the music business period.

Ellie told MTV News:

“I’m sorry to all the people that want it to be about someone — it’s not, it’s like a myth. I like guys with tattoos, my boyfriend has tattoos…but I don’t mind. People can read into it however they want. It’s fun to do that, I would do that too.”
