Are you a baller with four friends who are ready to hit the court? The Kaycee, WY, Lions Club is looking for both men's and women's teams for the Lions Club 5x5 Tournament. The tournament will be the final weekend in March, and you're about a month away from the registration deadline. Teams need to get their information and payment of $350 in by March 25

For the tournament to take place, there must be at least 6 men's teams and 3 women's teams. All teams need at least 5 players, can have up to 10, and are allowed only one collegiate-level player. All players must play on Saturday to be eligible for Sunday's games. The games will be played at both the Kaycee High School and Harold Jarrard Park, beginning March 27.

The double-elimination tournament, to support a scholarship for a current Kaycee High School senior, will follow most of the Wyoming High School Activities Association rules, except for a couple.

  • Each player will be allowed 6 fouls.
  • Games will all be (2) tweny minute halves, with a running clock until the last two minutes of the half.
  • All free throws will be an automatic two shots.
  • Technical fouls will cause the player to sit for 2 minutes on a first offense; the player will be disqualified from the rest of the game for a second offense.
  • All players on the team need to wear the same-colored shirts and have their numbers on the back.
  • Game balls will be provided, but teams have to supply their own warm-up balls.

Hurry and get a team together, and register before the 25th.
