Casper Kicks Off National Night Out At David Street Station August 4

It wasn't long ago that the Natrona County Law Enforcement held the annual block party, and it's time for another gathering of law enforcement and the community. A night for everyone to come together and have a fun evening together.

National Night Out was introduced in August of 1984 through an already established network of law enforcement agencies, neighborhood watch groups, civic groups, state and regional crime prevention associations and volunteers across the nation. The first annual National Night Out involved 2.5 million neighbors across 400 communities in 23 states.

Today, nearly 40 million neighbors will gather across the country to celebrate National Night Out 2026. In the Casper area, David Street Station will be the site of the event on Tuesday, August 4, from 5-8 pm. This is a family-friendly event that takes place at the same time as the Summer Market. There will be live music from the Cory McDaniel Duo, beer from Cygnet Brewing, and food trucks for you to choose from for dinner.

You can also meet some of the Casper area's law enforcement, see police and sheriff's vehicles, motors, K9S, and more!

This event will be a great way to introduce your kids to law enforcement and let them discover that the police are people, just like them, who elect to serve and protect the community.

Who knows, attending a party like National Night Out may be the opportunity that changes their future. You may have a future officer, detective, deputy, or SWAT team member growing up in your house.
