Wyoming Week 2 on the Mats: Dual Action Sets the Stage for a Tournament-Heavy Weekend
Week 2 of the 2026 season features dual action on the mats before tournaments dominate the slate over the weekend for teams from Wyoming. Kemmerer, Sheridan, and Worland host the big girls’ invites. Gillette, Kemmerer, and Worland have the boys’ invites. Teams will also compete in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Utah.
WYOPREPS WRESTLING WEEK 2 SCHEDULE 2025-26
Wright will host its duals with a mixed field of varsity and JV teams on Saturday. Several teams have their girls and boys at the same site, while others are split. All schedules are subject to change.

Star Valley won the team title with 215 points. Rawlins was 2nd, and Rock Springs took 3rd. The Lady Braves had champs in Carlee Angell, Remington Aullman, Oakley Hepworth, Cara Andrews, Paisely Harbach, Brooke Schwab, and O'Reilly Morris on Friday. Saturday, Keladry Johnson, Remington Aullman, Oakley Hepworth, Cara Andrews, and Settelly Roberts took 1st place.

Kemmerer won the team championship with 200 points. Kaylie Julander and Ella Kelley were individual winners.
Sheridan Lady Bronc Wrestling Tournament at Sheridan HS = Campbell County, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Tongue River, Wright.
Sheridan went 4-0 in duals.
Bridgeport Girls Invitational at Bridgeport HS in Bridgeport, NE = Burns/Pine Bluffs, Torrington.
Torrington placed 6th, and Burns/Pine Bluffs was 11th. Catherine Hendricks of Torrington won the crown at 125, and Jenna Woodard of Torrington won at 140.
Keith Kilker Girls Invite at Weld Central HS in Keenesburg, CO = Cheyenne South.
Cheyenne South took 6th in the Blue Division. The Bison beat Aurora Central and Kiowa from Colorado.
Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament at Island Grove Event Center in Greeley, CO = Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County.
Natrona County was 9th, East was 12th, Central was 27th, Kelly Walsh took 35th, Glenrock finished 37th, and Laramie was 50th. Marlie Dickinson of NC won the 235 division and was the only champ from Wyoming.
The Trinity Battles in Riverdale, UT = Pinedale.
The Wranglers won it with 273 points. McKinzie Mortensen, Jocei Helm, Kaylea Mortensen, and Fatima Mata won titles.
Warrior Classic at Central HS in Grand Junction, CO = Green River.
Green River placed 7th with 106 points.

Pinedale won Pool A, Riverton won Pool B, Cody won Pool C, and Rock Springs won Pool D. The Gold Bracket was won by the Cody Broncs. Rawlins captured the Silver Bracket, and Lovell took the Bronze Bracket. Cody went 4-0 in its pool. The Broncs defeated Douglas, Glenrock, and Riverton for the team title. Cody had 6 best-of-the-best wrestlers.

Kemmerer won its home event. Mountain View and Lyman were second and third, respectively. The Rangers had champions in Wyatt Miller, Abel Jiminez, and Logan Julander.

Sturgis Brown won the tournament dual title. Natrona County beat Moorcroft on Mat 4, 64-17. NC finished 3-5.
Wright Christmas Duals at Wright HS = Campbell County JV, Hulett, Kelly Walsh JV, Lusk, Moorcroft, Natrona County JV, Sheridan JV, Sundance, Thunder Basin JV, Tongue River JV, Upton, Wright.
The Natrona JV beat the KW JV in the title match.
Flatwater Fracas at Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, NE = Cheyenne East.
East took 2nd in its pool and then 8th overall. They were 2-3 in the bracket duals.
Sidney Invite at Sidney HS in Sidney, NE = Burns/Pine Bluffs, Torrington.
Torrington was 3rd, and Burns/Pine Bluffs was 7th. Torrington's Ty Albaugh won at 150, and Colby Sandusky won it at 157.
Viewmont Invitational at Viewmont HS in Bountiful, UT = Evanston, Star Valley.
Evanston took 2nd, and Star Valley was 3rd. Bridger Roberts from Evanston took the crown at 175. The Red Devils also had four runner-up finishes. The Braves had 3 champs: Caleb Lawrence, Kimball Parry, and Tel Parry.

The Wolves finished 15th with 84 points. Maddux Hintz won the title at 157.
