JohnPitcher [stock photo][/caption]The Laramie County Sheriff's Office euthanized a mountain lion that was seen in the area of 1300 Hackamore due to sfatey concerns for children and livestock on Saturday morning.

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

According to the post, the big cat was spotted at approximately 5:30, 7:30, and 8:15 on Saturday morning [Oct. 17].

According to the post "Despite several sightings, deputies were unable to safely capture and relocate the mountain lion. It repeatedly crossed property lines, went beneath porches, and moved near children and livestock. With no safe opportunity to contain it, deputies had to euthanize the animal."

The post says a female mountain lion was also reported in the area shortly afterward.
