Katy Perry to Make First Post-Split Public Appearance at People’s Choice Awards

We’ve hardly seen hide nor (pink) hair from Katy Perry since Russell Brand, her husband of 14 months, filed for divorce on Dec. 30. However, the ‘The One That Got Away Singer’ has confirmed her first major public appearance since the split. She will appear at the People’s Choice Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles on Jan. 11, according to PEOPLE.

Perry has collected three PCAs over the course of two years, so she will certainly be among friends and surrounded by those who love her when she makes this public showing.

Perry also has gigs slated for Jakarta and Manila later in January. So it’s clear that the singer is returning to work, which is probably a good thing. It’ll help keep her mind off her breakup with Brand and stave off some of the sadness she will likely feel.

But what about that girls trip that Katy and her bestie Rihanna were reportedly planning to boost her spirits alittle?
