An exhibition featuring original artwork made almost entirely from garbage found in the Casper area has been installed at Casper City Hall.

Keep Casper Beautiful spokesperson Beth Andress says the litter was collected by Casper College environmental science students last year.

“After (the environmental science students) were done, the Casper College visual arts program made artwork out of that litter.” Andress said. “It was on display in November at Casper College, and we invited them to display it also at city hall.”

Andress says each piece contains at least 80 percent recyclable material found in Natrona County. She also says each piece carries certain unique qualities.

“There’s kind of a really cool statue (that) kind of looks like a man, (and) there’s some wall-hanging art with some circuit tree things that were found out of computers and broken glass,” Andress said. “So, each one is kind of a little different.”

Andress says Casper City Hall will house the exhibit through the end of the month.
