It's hard out there for a female touring musician. Just ask Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

The girl group, currently touring with Demi Lovato on her all-female Neon Lights trek, revealed that Pinnock was injured by a falling microphone during a rehearsal. Wait, what?

Pinnock dramatically told MTV that she "nearly died" after the errant piece of equipment, which belonged to tourmates Fifth Harmony, struck her. Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, who is engaged to One Direction's Zayn Malik, admitted that Pinnock "is the most dramatic person you will ever meet, but this time, bless her because honestly, my heart went out to her."

Edwards further revealed what happened, saying, "Fifth Harmony have these things [props], and obviously no one knew they were going to be wobbling like the way they were. And then we were just doing our own thing and then the next thing you know, this thing just comes down and cracks Leigh-Anne on the head."

Pinnock interjected, "And then I fell to the floor and the mic went into my nose."

In her nose? Ouch!

There was one sorta positive aspect of being hit in the face with a mic. "I got a nice big lip, but I didn't put any ice on it because I wanted it to stay plump. It's a miracle really," Pinnock said. So she had extra-pouty lips for a day.

But in all seriousness, head injuries, even ones that seem slight at first, are not to be taken lightly. We are glad that Leigh-Anne is okay and that she soldiered on like a trooper.
