M.I.A. Collaborates With Madonna + William Orbit on ‘Baby’
M.I.A. has teamed up with Madonna and William Orbit on a new song called ‘Baby,’ which leaked online on Monday (July 9).
A demo version of the tune was posted on SoundCloud, presenting a sexy side of the British artist, who sings: “Baby / it’s hard to find / a dude that can get the better out of me / and baby / I like your steez / I think you’ve got exactly what I need / Ooooh / can you make a woman out of me? / Ooooh / can you make a woman out of me? / I’m bad!”
According to the Rap-Up, Madonna and her longtime collaborator Orbit both shared production credits on the mellow track. This isn’t the first time the Material Girl and the Sri Lankan star have teamed up. M.I.A. co-wrote the song ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’‘ with Madonna for her ‘MDNA’ album and infamously performed it with her at Super Bowl XLVI, flipping the bird to the camera in lieu of singing “s—.”
‘Baby’ is set to appear on M.I.A.’s fourth studio album, ‘Matangi,’ due out this fall. The LP will be the 36-year-old’s first release on Roc Nation, the label with which she signed in May.
