It's taken more than a year of planning and construction, and now Casper Fire-EMS says their new west-side fire station is complete. The new Casper Fire-EMS Station Six at 185 Valley Drive replaces the old nearby station, which officials describe as aging and undersized. The old station served West Casper for more than 30 years, and a number of years before that as a volunteer station.

Casper Fire-EMS says the new station represents a great leap forward in facilities and technology. The project was slated to cost 3.4 million dollars, to be paid for with Optional One Cent Funds.

If you'd like to come and tour the facility, the public is invited to an open house on Thursday, June 29th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
