The Casper city Council has reversed a decision they had tentatively reached last week, and the city has a new Mayor, Charlie Powell.

That changes the decision to name Daniel Sandoval as the new Mayor and incoming Councilwoman Robin Mundell as Vice-Mayor made earlier in the month.

That vote was a reaction to a prearranged ballot naming current Vice-Mayor Charlie Powell the new Mayor.

But this week's straw poll moved Powell into the Mayor's seat, and Sandoval to Vice-Mayor.

Both positions are largely ceremonial.
