An inmate at the Natrona County Detention Center is dead, but investigators do not suspect foul play.

According to the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, 47-year old Roger Carter was found dead in his cell Tuesday morning, December 4th.

He was found unresponsive after breakfast and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Pending an autopsy, officials believe Carter died of natural causes.

He was serving a jail sentence for failure to comply and failure to pay fines from an earlier conviction of possession of a controlled substance.
