Science has been studying sex and it's affects on the human body for hundreds of years and in that time, they have helped to bring sex out of the shadows and into the forefront of our everyday lives.

Here in the United States, we are surrounded by sex everyday.  It's on our TV, in our advertising, our movies and in our music, especially in our music.  So this might come as a surprise to some, but according to researchers we're not having enough sex.

Here are a few of the scientific reasons we should all be doing-it more often, if not everyday.

To be healthier!  Your chance of getting a cold goes down.  Researchers at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania found that people who had sex at least twice a week released more antigens, which help fight off colds and the flu.

Stay younger looking.  A Scottish researcher had judges guess the ages of 3,500 people.  And people who were having sex three times or more a week were rated seven to 12 years younger compared to people who were "only" doing it twice a week.

Reduce the risk of cancer.  According to a study from the Harvard Medical School, men who "finished" more often reduced their risk of developing prostate cancer by 22%.

Lower your blood pressure and stress levels.  A 2005 study found that people who had sex had lower blood pressure and better stress responses than people who didn't get-it-on.

And finally, separate studies by researchers at the University of Maryland and Konkuk University in South Korea found that mice and rats who had sex more often were less stressed. And since stress can impair your brain's ability to function, sex might make you a more intelligent thinker. Yes, more sex could make you smarter!
