Good news, Scotty McCreery fans — your favorite ‘American Idol‘ is returning to television!

This spring, the ‘I Love You This Big’ hitmaker will make the girls swoon with his soulful voice and his sweet Howdy Doody face when he makes a special cameo on the CW series ‘Hart of Dixie.’ According to a press release, Scotty will portray himself, which should be easy enough. At least it won’t require much acting!

The country/pop crooner will deliver an onscreen rendition of his latest single ‘The Trouble With Girls’ in his episode, which is scheduled to air April 23. With ‘American Idol’ already in the swing of a new season, we’re thrilled to see that the Season 10 winner is getting his boots wet with other projects — besides being a huge superstar and all.

‘Hart of Dixie’ is a new CW comedic drama about a big city doctor practicing in a small town unexpectedly. Apparently, the show’s main character Zoe Hart (played by Rachel Bilson) will face turmoil with her pal George Tucker (Scott Parker) during Scotty’s performance. We can hardly wait to see it all unfold!
