Selena Gomez Responds to Hate-Filled Comment on Instagram [PHOTO]

Being a celebrated artist comes with the baggage of having to deal with bullying and attacks by Internet trolls and haters. But one bully struck a nerve with Selena Gomez and the pop star wasn't going to let her get off easy.

The user, who has since deleted her comment and Instagram account, commented on one of Gomez's photos with a hate-filled tirade. "I'm sorry hun but you are a whore and you cannot sing because your voice sucks," the user began before accusing Gomez of getting a "boob job" and plastic surgery. She concluded her rant with, "Please kill yourself and burn in hell with cancer because your fans are ugly retarded sluts!"

Gomez responded to the user and told her fans in the caption of the response, "Honestly, I don't speak up much because it's simply 'always' taken out of context. But I don't take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything." Instead of arguing back with the user, Gomez seemed to take the high road with a well-thought out response which she used to educate her fans.

Her response reads, "The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman. I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart. You won't be winning 'anyone's' heart that way. Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You're beautiful."
