Maxim Hot 100 List: Bar Refaeli, Katy Perry and…Stephen Colbert?
Stephen Colbert, faux political pundit extraordinaire and host of Comedy Central’s ‘The Colbert Report,’ is no stranger to write-in campaigns. In the past, he’s rallied his fans — who call themselves the Colbert Nation — to write in his name as a presidential candidate, and another write-in effort saw a treadmill on the international space station named after him.
Now he’s done it again, but this time with even better results. Colbert now has a slot as one of the most beautiful women in the world.
This year’s Maxim Hot 100 list includes the usual suspects — voluptuous ‘Modern Family’ star Sofía Vergara, frequently scantily-clad pop star Rihanna and model Bar Refaeli all made the cut — but wedged in at No. 69, there’s Stephen Colbert. (We’re guessing the erotic numbering was pure happenstance.)
“Democracy isn’t always pretty: Sometimes it’s downright handsome,” Maxim said. “With a massive write-in vote campaign, the Colbert Nation proved they’re not only loyal but also incredibly horny.”
Our congratulations to the Colbert Nation for its best bit of mischief yet — and props to Maxim for taking the whole thing in stride.
