The Wyoming Department of Health reported 171 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 34,883. Natrona County currently has 297 active cases of COVID-19.

“More than 300 Wyoming families are mourning the loss of someone they loved due to the virus. The burden on our hospitals remains high. Businesses and communities are facing big challenges,” Harrist said. “That’s why I recommend and encourage Wyoming residents to get vaccinated when it is their turn to do so.”

7 new deaths have been confirmed by the Health Department over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Wyoming deaths to 328. Of these deaths, 63 have occurred in Natrona County.

“Knowing we have safe and effective vaccines arriving is like seeing light at the end of a tunnel,” said Dr. Alexia Harrist. “We have an end in sight at this point, which was not true for many months during this pandemic. We have hope and a reminder that this situation is for now and not forever.”

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 315 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 33,203. 32 new cases were reported for Natrona County, leaving the current number of active cases in Natrona County at 524.

'My night shift is getting hit the hardest. They only get two hours right now, when they’re used to a six-hour shift. And now, if we close at 10 p.m., they’re working from like, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and they’re not going to make any money.'

23 new deaths have been confirmed by the Health Department in the last 24 hours, leaving the total number of Wyoming deaths at 280. Of these deaths, 57 have occurred in Natrona County.

The Cavalry has arrived. Wyoming Medical Center announced that eight men from the 153rd Airlift Wing of the Wyoming National Guard have deployed to Casper. The airmen will be offering their services and expertise to Wyoming Medical Center in a variety of ways over the next few weeks, as part of WMC’s Pandemic Response Team.

Rapid tests are now being offered 7 days a week from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., by appointment only, but the entire process should only take about 25 minutes.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 529 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 31,047. 63 new cases were reported for Natrona County, leaving the current number of active cases in Natrona County at 1,195.

“It became a case of ‘Could we do this?’ Well, I knew we could. Then, it was a quick phone call to my wife, and I asked her, ‘Should we do this?’ And she said ‘Yes, we should.’ So, would we do this? Yes, we will.”

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 577 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 29,966. 55 new cases were reported for Natrona County, leaving the current number of active cases in Natrona County at 1,326.
