With the wind hitting speeds upwards of 50 mph and the temperatures dropping to record lows (-30 degrees), the new argument has aroused of which aspect of Wyoming winter is the worst: the cold or the wind?
Frostbite can occur in less than five minutes in such conditions, so dress appropriately if you go outside and take extra care to protect extremities such as fingers, toes, ear lobes and the tip of your nose.
With record cold temperatures gripping much of the country this week, it's safe to say most folks are spending their time indoors, even if it's a little tame by Wyoming standards. But the chill didn't stop these intrepid amateur scientists on YouTube, who took advantage of the frigid cold test the effects of the bitter cold on a soap bubble. The result? It's pretty cool.
