The recently single Zooey Deschanel, who’s been busy denying all rumors that link her to the recently single Russell Brand, will be hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ this week, with musical guest Karmin. The famously “adorkable” actress shot the traditional SNL promo package with cast member Kenan Thompson below.

In a recent interview with TIME magazine, the ubiquitous 'Saturday Night Live' cast member revealed that she is retiring two of her frequent - and arguably polarizing - characters, Gilly and Penelope. Wiig didn't elaborate on her decision to retire the characters, though she insists they will not return, not even at Lorne Michaels' request.

Last weekend’s Gwyneth Paltrow-hosted Saturday Night Live featured a digital short with surprise guest Paul Reubens as his signature character Pee-Wee Herman.
