The winter storm warning is in effect from 6 a.m. to midnight Wednesday.

The advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Crews are on scene and working to repair the downed lines.

We are all used to our windy city/state so much so when we see other places complaining about wind gusts of 50 MPH we kind of have a hard time taking them seriously.

On Thursday, WYDOT crews worked to clear snow drifts that were reported to be three to five feet deep, some of them a mile in length.

The westbound lanes from Cheyenne to Rawlins and the eastbound lanes from Evanston to Rock Springs will also remain closed.

Parts of I-80 in southeastern Wyoming will also be impacted.

This last week we had a horrible wind storm that swept the entire state of Wyoming. Halting lighter trucks and trailers to a stop on our interstate and blowing your yard fixtures all across the neighborhood.

I have no problem with the almost constant wind in Casper. It's one of the endearing qualities that makes this place unique. But, there's something I came across today that reminded me why I really should LOVE the Wyoming wind. See if you agree.
