UPDATE: Teen Hit by Car Near Kelly Walsh

UPDATE: There was an accident Tuesday near Kelly Walsh High School

18-year-old Kaylie Burch was walking with a group of friends in a crosswalk at South Walsh and Dorset when she was hit by a car driven by 24-year-old Trent Bolte.

Burch was taken to Wyoming Medical Center, but was not believed to be seriously injured.

Bolte told officers the sun was in his eyes, and he was distracted by a ringing cell phone. He says he looked down to silence the phone, when he struck the girl.

The driver was cited for Failure to Grant right of Way to a Pedestrian.
