Thankful Thursday 2018 Fall Calendar
Casper’s original Thursday night party with a purpose is back (and if you missed the news, smoke free) – Thankful Thursdays are back at it this September at The Beacon Club! Thanks to our friends at Tito’s Vodka, Thankful Thursday’s proud to be the only event of its kind that’s able to donate 100% of your contributions to local charities – with over $1.4 million of your dollars already at work doing good in our community.
This year, we’re excited to introduce you to our new host – still the same great live auctions and raffles, with chances to win $500 just for being in the room, and a free Tito’s Vodka cocktail to everyone 21+. We’ve expanded dates, to allow a broader mix of Casper charities to receive your generosity, with a Fall and Winter/Spring season stretching all the way into May of 2019.
Each Thursday, the party starts at 5:00 PM and the auction begins at 6:30 PM.
Here’s who you’ll be able to benefit during our Fall season:
September 27: Hunting With Heroes. This amazing organization gives back to those that have given so much to us – our nation’s disabled veterans. Their mission is to honor our vets with unique hunting, fishing, and other outdoor experiences.
October 4: Self Help Center. Prevent. Shelter. Heal. That’s Self Help Center’s mission – working to serve our community with needed advocacy and support services for domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and more.
October 11: Natrona County Child Protection Team. Dedicated to raising community awareness of the health and safety needs of children and families by identifying community service for abused and neglected children.
October 18: Central Wyoming Senior Services. This incredible group assists Natrona County individuals 60 and older by providing or accessing community services and resources to maintain dignity and independence, using qualified and trained staff and volunteers – helping them meet their nutritional, educational, social, emotional, financial, and recreational needs.
October 25: Children’s Advocacy Project. CAP is a team of committed agencies and individual professionals who work together to provide coordinated forensic and comprehensive services for alleged victims of child maltreatment and children who witness violence – in order to minimize trauma, break the cycle of abuse, and to foster a more effective and efficient community response to child maltreatment.
November 1: Mills Playground Fund. The Town of Mills is raising funds to provide new playground equipment in their community, and this’ll be a great night to help get them closer to that goal.
November 8: Mills Fire Department Local 4961. Our first responders provide fulltime fire, rescue, hazardous materials and EMS services for the Town Of Mills, and surrounding communities. Here’s an opportunity to give back to the folks that keep the community safe, and make sure they have the resources they need to do so.
November 15: Turkey Shoot for Birds & Bucks. Always a Thankful Thursday favorite – this’ll be a night of constant firearm raffles, with a huge selection to choose from – all to raise cash to purchase frozen turkeys for distribution at this year’s Birds & Bucks Food Drive, via Wyoming Food For Thought Project and several partner food pantries serving Casper’s hungry.
After we finish with this slate of incredible charities – we’ll take our usual seasonal break for the holidays, and come back with the second round of charities starting January 24, which will be announced later in the Fall. If you’re a local non-profit helping others, and would like to get more details, or be on the list for a future event – email us.
Breathe easier at the new smoke-free Beacon this year - with more charities, more freebies from our friends at Tito’s Vodka, and some new faces – can’t wait to see you at the return of Thankful Thursday!
