It’s an issue that has plagued humankind for years – what’s the best pizza topping?

Well, there are finally some statistics to help figure out an answer.

A new study of more than 600 pizzerias around the US has uncovered which toppings are the most eaten.

Pepperoni is far and away the king, with 36% of people ordering it. That blew away the second-most common topping, sausage.
