It's the most wonderful time of the year...and it's over now.

The day after Christmas my neighbor had all of their decorations down and into boxes by 9:30 AM to me that is some serious dedication! I mean Christmas hadn't even been over with for 24 hours and his lights were already gone.  I do have to admit, I'm kind of a total sucker for Christmas lights, they are my favorite so to see those already taken down it was a little sad for me!

I feel like Christmas has all of this build up for months and then BAM it's gone.  We took down our Christmas tree today, and this year we were so busy outside lights just never happened, so that was a bit of a bummer, but it's okay we have next year!  We usually leave our stuff up until New Years day though and then we take them down, but this year we already have our tree in a box and back in the attic.

So I was wondering, is there a rule of thumb for how long your decorations should stay up or is it just something you do when you have free time?
