Rumors have been going around that rapper Lil’ Kim signed a deal with Universal Music Group for days.

While the Brooklyn rapper and her camp have yet to confirm or deny anything, Universal has created an artist page for her on their roster listings. If the rumors are true, Lil’ Kim would be label mates with her rival, Nicki Minaj.

It’s no secret that there’s a bit of a rivalry between Lil’ Kim (real name Kimberly Jones) and Nicki Minaj (real name Onika Tanya Maraj).

Their beef resulted in Kim releasing diss record ‘Black Friday,’ a play off Nicki’s debut album ‘Pink Friday’ last November. This was, of course, in response to Minaj’s track ‘Roman’s Revenge,’ which many believed to be about Kim.

So does Lil’ Kim’s deal with UMG mean her and Minaj are calling a truce? Is a collaboration with Kim and Minaj in the works? Only time will tell.

In the meantime, check out Lil Kim’s ‘Black Friday.’
