It's time to celebrate, Taylors! Rapper Wiz Khalifa was honored by the city of Pittsburgh with a proclamation declaring Dec. 12, 2012 (aka 12-12-12) as "Wiz Khalifa Day."

Wizzy, along with his pregnant fiancee Amber Rose and family members, were in the City Council chambers on Tuesday (Dec. 11) to graciously accept the honor as ambassador for his hometown.

"Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. It means a lot to me,” said a humbled Wiz during his acceptance speech. “Even when I moved around when I was younger, everywhere I went, I told people I was from Pittsburgh."

"To come so far and to represent and to have everybody be proud of me and happy that I’m doing so well, I don’t even feel like I’m doing the greatest," he continued. "I could do better and better. But with your guys’ support, I think I could be the best ever.”

Councilman Bill Peduto told the Post-Gazette that the 'Remember You' rapper is being recognized for promoting Pittsburgh in his songs.

Wiz's grandfather, Jibril Abdul-Hafeef, a community activist in Pittsburgh, as well as his mom, Katie Wimbush, also received proclamations from the city. Wiz later went on Twitter to thank his fans and encouraged everyone to party on this celebratory day. "I also wanna thank the city of Pittsburgh for making 12-12 "Wiz Khalifa Day" in the 'Burgh. Get stoned : )," he tweeted.

One more thing worth celebrating -- Wiz's second album, 'O.N.I.F.C.' premiered at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart with 141,000 copies sold in its first week of release.

Congratulations to Wiz on his fantastic honor and putting his city of Pittsburgh on the rap map!
