Law enforcement in Wyoming county had to deal with some feathery foolishness over the weekend as authorities attempted to break up a cock-fight.

Attendees were handed citations for being present at an illegal rooster match-up which took place at a home in Indian Creek. The owner of the home hosting the event was also cited. According to the Sheriff on duty, this event had been happening frequently at this location.

Sheriff Randall Aliff says they received a tip that the fight was taking place last Sunday at a home in the Indian Creek area of the county.

According to WVVA,  "Investigators confiscated the spurs used to put on the roosters."

The situation is still being investigated.
