Pizza delivery has gotten hi-tech, but it's an old school method of transportation that's raising eyebrows now.

A Domino's in Britain will deliver orders via canoe to customers along the River Loose in the town of Maidstone in a trial program.

According to the Mirror, "Pizzas will be delivered in boxes that can float and accompanied by a lifebuoy to prevent them from meeting a watery end. Every order will be delivered by a pizza 'buoy' wearing a full wetsuit."

Domino's manager says the store is "really excited" to offer the delivery, while the first customer to get a delivery may be even more excited. "It's great living by the river but it has always been impossible to get food delivered to our house so we owe Domino's a big thank you for allowing us to have a night in," Debbie Hayes said. "I love a Pepperoni Passion pizza and I'm planning on having one every day of the week for the duration of the trial!"

Domino's canoe delivery is a sharp departure from some of the sleek methods we've seen recently, including using a robot and a drone.

Impressive, sure, but let us know when someone can deliver pizza via pogo stick, unicycle and stilts.
