Did You Catch This ‘Furious 7’ Easter Egg Hinting at The Rock’s Past?
If you go see Furious 7, there’s a lot to enjoy. From cars parachuting out of airplanes to Vin Diesel and Jason Statham fighting to The Rock walking down a city street shooting a helicopter out of the sky with a giant gatling gun. But, there are some smaller moments you might want to keep your eye out for too. Namely, some fun Furious 7 easter eggs for fans of the franchise and The Rock.
‘San Andreas’ Trailer: The Rock Is Rocking in This Earthquake Movie
It’s been a while since we had a really good disaster movie. Roland Emmerich was the last guy to really push the genre forward, but after freezing and then destroying the entire planet (in The Day After Tomorrow and 2012, respectively) there’s not really a lot of ground left to cover (and demolish). Next summer’s San Andreas will attempt to revive the disaster movie by juicing up an old favorite: the earthquake. This version, directed by Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’s Brad Peyton, features a tremor so huge it encompasses all of California from Los Angeles to San Francisco. It’s so big, Paul Giamatti gravely intones, it can even be felt on the East Coast. That’s a big quake.

‘Shazam’ May Arrive Sooner Than Expected According to The Rock
When Warner Bros. revealed their ambitious slate of DC superhero movies, Shazam was scheduled for April 5, 2019. That’s four years away, which is an awfully long time to sit on a project that already has a lead in Dwayne Johnson. However, the latest news from The Rock himself suggests that the 2019 release date may have been more of a guideline than an actual plan and that Shazam may arrive sooner than expected.
‘San Andreas’ Trailer: Dwayne Johnson Is Ready to Rumble (In a Really Big Earthquake)
This is a weird instance of art imitating life imitating art. Universal Studios Orlando’s famous old ‘Earthquake’ ride was recently updated and replaced with a similar attraction called ‘Disaster!’ where guests get to experience movie special effects, and become extras in the “ultimate” disaster movie called ‘Mutha Nature,’ which stars none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Next summer, Johnson will be seen in ‘San Andreas,’ which is basically ‘Mutha Nature’ brought to life.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is not afraid to show off his glistening abs. If you have 'em, flaunt 'em, right? He did it a lot in the recent 'Hercules' movie and in Michael Bay's 'Pain & Gain,' and he's about to break out those puppies once again (and, probably, for a lot longer) in Paramount's upcoming 'Baywatch' movie.

Dwayne Johnson has been teasing his involvement in a 'Shazam' movie for years now, constantly asking fans on social media if they'd rather see him play the title superhero or his nemesis, Black Adam. Today, it looks like that decision has finally been made. Johnson took to Twitter and revealed that he'll be playing Black Adam.
