There is a reason that the entire world is head over heels in love with Beyonce. In addition to her killer vocals, sick dance moves and insane ability to surprise the world with a brand-new album, she is not afraid to give a voice to those suffering, and boldly speaks out on the problem with body image in our society in her 'Pretty Hurts' music video.

"We try to fix something, but you can't fix what you can't see," Queen Bey sings on the chorus of the powerful song. "It's the soul that needs the surgery." The intense video clearly embodies this idea, with Beyonce playing the role of a pageant queen with severe body image issues, purging in the bathroom, taking pills, getting Botox injections and viciously fighting with her fellow contestants. But the reason why her character acts the way she does is super-obvious in the video, as harsh judges jiggle her stomach and thighs and weigh her constantly.

Despite the brutality of what Beyonce's character has to endure, she ultimately realizes that all she wants is to be happy, a question that she repeatedly sings at the end of the song.

"Are you happy with yourself?" Beyonce repeats over and over, sending out the most important message of all.
