About 50 bicycles are available for donation from the Casper Police Department, according to a press release issued Thursday.

Often, lost stolen, seized and otherwise recovered bicycles fall into the hands of police. If police can't find the rightful owners, the department can donate the bikes back to the community.

Casper Police Department Spokeswoman Rebekah Ladd said the department's goal is to get the bikes to new owners by Christmas.

Bicycles will be donated in "as is" condition. Those with interested organizations can click here.

The application period will close Nov. 1. A department committee will review the applications and select the organizations to receive the bicycles by mid-November.
