Casper’s Taven Bryan Selected by Jacksonville in the NFL Draft’s 1st Round
Natrona County High School product Taven Bryan became the first Wyoming prep product selected in the first round of the NFL draft since 1965 as he was picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 29th selection overall. Bryan left the University of Florida a year early to join the draft and has tremendous physical attributes with consistency issues. Bryan made 40 tackes for the Gators this past season from the defensive line with 7 tackles against Texas A&M and 6 vs. South Carolina. He started 11 games from the tackle spot in 2017 and made two starts in 2016. At NCHS, Bryan was an all state selection on both the offensive and defensive lines as the Mustangs won the state championship. He is also the first Wyoming native to be selected in any round of the NFL Draft since 2011.
