Channing + Jenna Dewan Tatum Producing ‘Step Up’ Series, Can’t Stop Having Sex
Step Up, the story that brought now-spouses Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum together 10 years ago, will continue to parallel the couple's relationship.
According to Deadline, the actors and dancers will both serve as executive producers for a brand new Step Up series that will premiere on YouTube Red next year. The project, which the site calls "the subscription video service’s first full-fledged, big-budget original drama series," was unveiled at 2016's VidCon in Anaheim, California alongside a collection of sister series.
The Tatums will work with Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Meredith Milton, who produced the original Step Up movie, on the project.
The show is just the latest in a lengthening list of Tatum-collaborations: The two went toe-to-toe on Lip Sync Battle in January and announced in March that they're bringing a dance-competition show to NBC, on which Jenna will serve as a mentor and judge.
So, what's the secret to this type of successful working relationship? In a Facebook Live interview with Cosmopolitan record Wednesday (June 22), Channing basically said he and his wife can't stop having sex.
"Yeah, she’s really athletic. We get down!" he noted. "Sometimes it’s like, ‘Look, you gotta get this done. I gotta go to work.’ And that’s a real thing. To me, that’s us being completely open...Then you have full-on, just completely totally connected otherworldly connections."
