Former Wyoming Lawmaker Dies in 4-Wheeler Accident
GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - A former state lawmaker has died in a four-wheeler accident in Campbell County.
Sheriff Scott Matheny says 60-year-old Troy Mader was killed about 8 p.m. Thursday while herding cattle on a ranch north of Gillette.
Matheny says Mader was thrown from the four-wheeler after going into a ravine.
Mader had served in the state Legislature after he was appointed in 2014 to fill a seat after the death of Representative Sue Wallis, but he failed to win election that year, losing to Bill Pownall.
