Chris Brown is the poster boy for questionably deserved forgiveness: First Rihanna, then the Grammys and now Frank Ocean.

Ocean is refusing to press charges against Brown following their six-man brawl at a recording studio last week.

Ocean took to Tumblr to spill the news in a blog post. "As a child, I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man, I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person," he wrote, still managing to throw shade despite not wanting any drama.

He added, "I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life."

While those sound like wise and mature words on the surface, there may also be more at stake here than just taking the high road until it gives you a nosebleed.

Despite his temperamental history (and bandaged hand), Brown has maintained his innocence throughout the case and was even eager to talk to police about what really went down. As a result, one can speculate that if Ocean were to in fact press charges or file a civil suit, the 'channelORANGE' singer may simply have not gotten the outcome desired (which would be for Brown to be locked in a cellar somewhere without access to Instagram, Twitter or any other social media until he grows up).

That and it would remind the rest of the world once again that they were both petty enough to get into a brawl over a parking space. A brawl. Over a parking space. Seriously, whatever happened to just flipping them off and driving around for a few more minutes?
