Girl Booted From Prom Because Her Chest Is Too Big — Is It Fair?
Controversy has erupted at a high school for a very surprising reason.
A student at Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, Washington was not allowed to attend her senior prom because her breasts are too big.
The school’s dress code states girls can wear strapless dresses, although they cannot show cleavage, their midriff or lower back.
Brittany Minder’s parents believe their daughter is simply being picked on because she’s well endowed. Her mother said, "All women are not created equal, and you cannot compare a golf ball to a grapefruit. It ain't gonna happen."
Brittany was eventually allowed into the dance until she put on a shawl. Still, she only hung around for an hour or so:
I felt self-conscious and they took the magic out of the night," she said. "It was tough being there after all that happened. I didn't feel comfortable. I already had a blow to my self-esteem. I didn't really want to be there anymore."
Brittany’s parents say they want an apology, although there’s no word from the school if that will happen.
