Did you know that every year, it costs families between $60 and $100 to buy a child's school supplies?  Those of us with school-aged kids certainly do.  And the reality is, some families are forced to make tough choices to cover those expenses - which is something we can all lend a hand with.  NO child should go without the basic supplies they need for their education.  Here's how you can help:

Stuff The Bus For Casper Kids

All of us here at Townsquare Media are teaming up with The Casper Area Education Foundation and The Salvation Army to "Stuff The Bus" - part of a community-wide school supply drive that'll benefit students in need.  Now through August 11, you can donate things like #2 pencils, notebook  paper, backpacks - just pick up a supply list for any school at a local store where you'd normally go shopping.  Then, you can drop off your supply donations at these locations:

  • Reliant Federal Credit Union
  • Albertson's East
  • UW/CC Offices @ Casper College
  • UW/CC Outreach Building on Poplar
  • Natrona County School District Central Services

The final opportunity to donate will happen on Saturday, August 11 - when the bus hits the Casper Events Center from 9-3 for the Back To School Bash.  If you don't have time to shop, it's quick and easy to make a cash donation at casperedfoundation.org.

If you or someone you know is struggling and needs help with school supplies through this campaign, contact a caseworker at the Salvation Army.  Stuff The Bus is a project of the Casper Area Education Foundation, in partnership with Natrona County School District #1 - we're proud to be a part of it, and thank you in advance for your generosity, helping Casper kids.
