It's wild that we're already talking about events in June, but it's reality. Memorial Day is coming, then boom, the next week we're into June.

Mark this one on your calendar for June 16 & June 18. On those days, Law Enforcement from across Natrona County will be at Texas Roadhouse serving tables to help raise money for the athletes of the Special Olympics of Wyoming. Tip-a-Cop is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, where they help raise money in unique ways.

Members of LETR also carry the Flame of Hope into Special Olympics events at various levels—local, state, national, and international. This symbolic gesture is more than just a tradition; it represents the unwavering spirit of solidarity and support for Special Olympics programs. By engaging in these activities, LETR members play a crucial role in fostering community engagement and encouraging widespread support for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Make plans to head to Texas Roadhouse on June 16 & 18 from 4 - 8 pm. Bring the family, friends, neighbors, or someone you just met on the street, because you know the old saying, "The more, the merrier," right? Well, in this case, the more, the merrier, and the more tips that will be made to raise money for the Special Olympics of Wyoming.

During "Tip-A-Cops," law enforcement agencies provide personnel to serve as “celebrity waiters”. During their duties, agency personnel educate customers about the event and the Special Olympics while soliciting “tips” as donations. The “tips” collected are in addition to those given to the restaurant servers. All donations go to help support athlete training and competition opportunities year-round.
