Artificial Intelligence Creates The Perfect Wyoming Guy

If you told an AI about the typical Wyoming man, what would the program come up with as a photo?

Thanks to Doc Journals' use of Midjourney we have an answer! They have created a collection of colorful personalities to show us.

Midjourney is a generative artificial intelligence program and service created and hosted by San Francisco-based independent research lab Midjourney, Inc. Midjourney generates images from natural language descriptions, called "prompts", similar to OpenAI's DALL-E and Stable Diffusion

These AI pictures are based on stereotypes.

Okay, the guy shown above is not too far off.

While the pants and suspenders might not be something we see often in Wyoming, I do think I've seen that guy a time or two.

I think the ladies might like him if he were real.

There are other attempts by AI, like the ones in the video below, that are close to the real thing.

Stereotypical is not necessarily reality-typical.

But if it's close, color me impressed.

If this is what computers think we look like, without really being able to think, then imagine what they will think of us once computers are able to think.

At that point, yeah, they might want to put humans out of their misery.
