Katy Perry Shares What Didn’t Make It Into ‘Part of Me’ Movie
Katy Perry is no stranger to exposing her personal life to the public, so fans can expect to see a lot of behind-the-scenes action in her upcoming3D film ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me.” The singer recently released a clip that features her family, including sister Angela and parents Mary and Keith, discussing what it was like to watch their daughter go from good little Christian to famous sexpot.
But in the most recent clip, it’s the fans that play a key role. Her fans, known as Katycats, are known to adore their beloved Katy, often dressing up like the singer when catching her on tour and generally idolizing her. “Katy tells us it’s okay to stand out … be different and unique,” say fans say in the clip. “Her lyrics have inspired me.”
One would expect that a movie following around a sole person would reveal everything — much like a reality show — but we know how that turns out. However, it looks as though Perry didn’t want to leave a thing out, but as all movie editing goes, things end up on the cutting room floor. “Maybe behind closed doors. I’m a little bit crazier, and maybe I wanted to put in a swear word that wasn’t appropriate,” she said of scenes that didn’t make it into the film. “But then after having the conversation I kept thinking to myself, ‘It’s not appropriate!’”
Catch a deeper look into the life of Katy Perry on July 5, when ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ hits theaters! We can only imagine the things we’ll see that didn’t make it into the tabloids.
