We imagine that it must be pretty awkward to be asked questions about your ex, especially when she just attempted to "break the internet" with her controversial photos. However, when asked about Kim Kardashian's Paper magazine cover, ex-husband Kris Humphries handled the situation with grace.

During a radio appearance with 106.7 The Fan on Thursday (Nov. 13), the basketball player was asked how he's handling Kim being, well, everywhere.

“Well, you know, I’ve always been a basketball-first kind of guy,” Kris replied. “And had a lot of success through everything. For me, it’s just basketball, and that’s where my outlet is, especially now. I’m on a team that’s winning, and we’re gonna be in the playoffs and do all that. It feels good. But everything else, I don’t really pay a lot of attention to. And it’s just – "

“Is it hard though on a day like yesterday?” the interviewer asked. “Do you just stay off your phone? Or how does that work?”

“No, I mean, a lot of times I don’t even know what’s going on,” Kris said. “I’m on ESPN and basketball websites and stuff like that. I’m not someone who’s paying attention to things that don’t really matter in my world.”

We're impressed with the way Kris managed to bring the conversation back to his career -- without giving a reaction to Kim's pics.

By the way, if you're wondering how much Kim was paid for her Paper magazine shoot, it wasn't much. In fact, a rep from Paper told E! News that "Kim was not paid to appear in the magazine. She was very excited to work with French photographer Jean-Paul Goude. Paper has never paid anyone to be on its cover."
