If conditions are right Saturday night, the Leonid meteor shower might be visible in Casper Saturday night. The key word is "might".

Accuweather shared details of this year's Leonid meteor shower which will peak starting at dusk on Saturday night and continue until Sunday morning at dawn. If you check out their visibility map, you'll notice that Casper is right on the line between good and fair.

Since I'm an optimistic person, I'm putting Casper on the green part of that map while it looks like our friends in Cheyenne and Laramie are out of luck.

If this works out, could be a decent sky display as EarthSky predicts 10 to 15 meteors per hour at its peak. You're more likely to see a meteor if you're a night owl since after midnight is normally the best meteor viewing time.
