Most People in Casper Spend Their Tax Refund Responsibly
Maybe we need to live a little more in Casper.
I'm not sure if I should be surprised by these results or not. Last week, we asked you how you plan on spending your tax refund this year. Now that taxes have been filed, let that extra money roll in! This is money that I believe can go toward just about anything, like bills, vacations, shopping sprees, and more. Between responsible and frivolous, where do you fall?
Turns out, we're mostly responsible.
We chose to spend the money paying bills. Not that this is boring or anything. I mean, that's how I spent my extra cash too. When you think about it, taking care of bills certainly frees up other funds for fun things. And the sooner you can pay off some debt, the sooner you can have some fun, right? I have to say "Bravo" to my fellow Casper dwellers for being financially mature.
Either that or we have already had way too much fun and that's why we're in debt in the first place.
Here's how it broke down...
Paying bills: 64%
Save it for a rainy day: 17%
Vacation: 11%
Invest it: 5%
Other: 3%
