The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Krishelle Layton for a felony probation violation.

Layton, 35, is described as a white female, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with with blonde hair, and blue eyes.

She was last known to be living in the 1000 block of south Melrose Street in Casper.

In April 2015, Layton was given first time offender status, along with one to five years of  probation after she entered an Alford plea to one charge of obtaining goods by false pretenses. An Alford plea is not an admission of guilt, but an acknowledgment that prosecutors have enough evidence to get a guilty conviction from a jury.

Layton also was ordered to pay $5,170 in restitution.

Natrona County District Court records filed in late December say she violated the terms of her probation by not keeping in touch with her probation officer and by not making regular and consistent restitution payments.

Earlier this decade, Layton and her son nicknamed Ninja Dorian moved to Casper and told sympathetic people from December 2013 to March 2014 that her son had terminal brain cancer.

Layton contacted nonprofit organizations, businesses, and public agencies such as the Casper Police Department seeking donations and awareness for cancer treatment. The supposedly terminally ill child had been named police chief for a day, visited other cancer-stricken children, and had a Facebook page “Karate Chop Cancer with Ninja Dorian."

It was unknown where the donations went.

The Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigations contacted the boy's doctor and learned the brain tumor was not terminal and a later scan showed the tumor was gone.

The Sheriff's Office says if you have any information as to Layton's whereabouts, please contact it at (307) 235-9282 or submit a tip to www.crime-stoppers.com or Text-a-Tip using the TipSubmit mobile app on your smartphone.
